We give a differential geometric interpretation for the classification of biharmonic curves in semi-Euclidean 3-space due to Chen and Ishikawa (1991).
متن کاملOn Frenet-Serret Invariants of Non-Null Curves in Lorentzian Space L5
The aim of this paper is to determine Frenet-Serret invariants of non-null curves in Lorentzian 5-space. First, we define a vector product of four vectors, by this way, we present a method to calculate Frenet-Serret invariants of the non-null curves. Additionally, an algebraic example of presented method is illustrated. Keywords—Lorentzian 5-space; Frenet-Serret Invariants; Nonnull Curves.
متن کاملBiharmonic curves in Minkowski 3-space. Part II
This is a supplement to our previous research note [3]. In [3], we gave a characterization of biharmonic curves in Minkowski 3-space. More precisely, we pointed out that every biharmonic curves with nonnull principal normal in Minkowski 3-space is a helix, whose curvature κ and torsion τ satisfy κ2 = τ2. In the classification of biharmonic curves in Minkowski 3-space due to Chen and Ishikawa [1...
متن کاملBiharmonic curves in ̃ SL ( 2 , R ) space
In this paper, non-geodesic biharmonic curves in ̃ SL(2, R) space are characterized and the statement that only proper biharmonic curves are helices is proved. Also, the explicit parametric equations of proper biharmonic helices are obtained. AMS subject classifications: 53A40

متن کاملStationary acceleration of Frenet curves
In this paper, the stationary acceleration of the spherical general helix in a 3-dimensional Lie group is studied by using a bi-invariant metric. The relationship between the Frenet elements of the stationary acceleration curve in 4-dimensional Euclidean space and the intrinsic Frenet elements of the Lie group is outlined. As a consequence, the corresponding curvature and torsion of these curve...
